Sometimes you end up meeting people that you feel like you've known forever. That was our experience with Jen and Steve.

On the morning of their elopement, we met at 4am and then drove about 45 minutes to a mountain lookout where we planned to catch the sunrise. The weather was a little stormy, so we had no idea whether we'd even see the sunrise. But in Oregon, the weather is completely unpredictable, so it's usually best to just go with it!

We packed coffee, blankets, hand warmers, head lamps and firewood, and then drove most of the way up to the lookout. The view from the top was absolutely beautiful, and there was already an established fire ring where we could set up a campfire (bonus!). Throughout the morning, we witnessed beautiful cloud formations and light changes, small storm clouds that seem to push right through us, and a few sprinkles here and there. It was really a magical experience and so worth the early morning meet time!

After sunrise on the mountain, we drove down to the Devil's Punchbowl scenic area where Steve and Jen had their first look. It was absolutely stunning.

After a stop for much needed food and drink, and lots of great conversation on the drive, we left the couple for the afternoon with plans to meet up again for their ceremony on the beach.

The evening consisted of photos among the seastacks, and a sunset ceremony with their closest family, followed by family photos and the most beautiful sunset ever.

Here's the proof! :)
